We Have A New Temporary Moon!

Hellow Twiskies, do you remember in last September we are shocked by the news of the presence of a new mini-moon in the night sky? But do you know, Twiskies, it's not really a moon! So if it's not a moon, what it is? Let's find it out in this post.

Source: Space.com

The mini-moon first spotted on Earth in September 29, 2024. Have you saw it, Twiskies? It was first spotted by astronomer Richard Binzel at the Compultense University of Madrid. Twiskies, the mini-moon is actually a tiny asteroid called 2024 PT5. Why is it called mini-moon? It is because the size of the asteroid. According to Times India, these asteroids only has 10 meters in size. So it will be hard to be seen from Earth, Twiskies.

You must be wondering, right? Why are these asteroids turning into our temporary second moon? During its orbit, this mini-moon will travel in a horseshoe-shaped course around our planet, just like our moon. These little things typically orbit the sun like other asteroids, but when they approach close enough to Earth, our gravitational force can draw them into a temporary orbit.

But sadly our temporary moon, 2020 PT5 has leave us two days ago in November 25. These little buddy will continue its journey all around the solar system.

Okay, Twiskies, that's all the informations that I can found about our temporary buddy. Don't be shy to leave a comment. Also, don't forget to check my my other posts, okay? Cya, Twiskies!
