How to Watch Geminid Meteor Shower

All you need to see a meteor shower is your eyes, patience, and a generally clear night. Go outside, get comfy, and look up at the sky. Typically, the best view of a meteor shower occurs between midnight and pre-dawn, when you are on Earth's leading side.

You do not have to look in the direction of the radiant; meteors farther away will appear longer. It is commonly stated that the best viewing angle is 45 degrees away from the radiant, but the most crucial component is to find a dark area away from light pollution, allow your eyes to adjust for several minutes, then look at the darkest patch of sky you can find.
